Will always be a student..always learning..Began playing guitar at age 11..switched to bass to play for my brothers rock band [Dura Saxon] from Washington Heights NY....Played the Melody Lounge in Wash Heights w multiple groups [Jake Street..Rising..Eighth Day Composition]....Composed & Recorded w Marlon Graves,Patrick Clarke,Bruce Johnson [Alt Rock Fusion]....Lots of work in Long Island with The likes of Creations[Top Disco Band]...Escapade[wonderful club date band]...3 yrs stint w Mark Rubenstein in Riverdale NY [Jazz Standards]...My favorite gig so far has been with the Riverdale Presbyterian Church youth group under the leadership of Linda Fitzgerald,Susan Andrews & George Dunbar...[Broadway Productions]..I am presently sit on the main Bass chair for Johnny Olivo Jr Y Su Herencia De Plena[a top NY/Puerto Rico Based Plena Orquestra..also a favorite!]..I've studied at Boys Harbor with the wonderful Gullermo Edgehill who also presented me to several workshops w Victor Rendon...[so many wonderful players there!]..Presently sit on the main chair with Taboo..A Carlos Santana Tribute act..can be seen regularly at the Empire City Casino in Yonkers NY..My Salsa Gigs are with Fernando Fernandez Y La Fuerza Musical...& I play Bass for the wonderful Flor Fitzgerald Band periodically [ Cuban Timba Piano ]...I've also played & Recorded with Seguida NY former Fania Latin Rock Pioneers[session & Video work for MLB Productions]....I play Bass for the NY songwriters Ruben Gonzalez,Andy Craig & Zak Glass..My past Project was with a Band named Solaj[Sounds Of Latin & American Jazz]..w Gustavo Moretto,Brent Williams,Colin Pohl & Jorge Gonzalez..we recorded our own CD on our own Label...I am forever grateful for being able to continue my musical journey through such wonderful passages.....Sangha Tierra being another one...Thx for having me guys...One Love ...Peace...Light....Wally supports The American Thyroid Association |
